December 28, 2024: Duluth, MN 55804 Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks (New Hope, MN), 52-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Duluth East advances its record to 2-7 on the year. The Greyhounds host Elk River (Elk River, MN) to meet the Elks in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Elks enter the match with a record of 1-5. Elk River won 49-46 in their recent league match against Sartell-St. Stephen (Sartell, MN)
The Hawks now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Columbia Heights for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Robbinsdale Cooper will meet a Hylanders squad coming off a 86-33 non-league loss to North Community (Minneapolis, MN). The Hylanders record now stands at 2-7.
