California High School Basketball - Head-Royce holds off East Union
December 28, 2024: Oakland, CA 94602 The Head-Royce Jayhawks basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting East Union Lancers to 55 in the Jayhawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Jayhawks now possess a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Mitty for a non-league game on Friday, January 3. Head-Royce will confront a Monarchs team coming off a 72-56 non-league loss to Oakland Tech (Oakland, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 6-3.
With the loss, East Union falls to 7-6 on the campaign. The Lancers host Oakdale (Oakdale, CA) to confront the Mustangs in a Valley Oak League game on Thursday, January 2. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 10-5. Oakdale won 66-43 in their recent non-league game against Ripon (Ripon, CA)
