With the victory, Grapeland upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Sandies travel to New Waverly (New Waverly, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 5-8. New Waverly won 49-33 in their recent non-league match against Lovelady (Lovelady, TX)
The Eagles now sport a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mexia for a 3A Region III District 20 match on Friday, January 3. Fairfield will face a Black Cats squad coming off a 55-52 non-league loss to Joshua (Joshua, TX). The Black Cats record now stands at 12-10.
