Ohio High School Basketball - Jackson triumphant over Firestone
December 28, 2024: Akron, OH 44313 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Jackson Polar Bears (Massillon, OH) and the host Firestone Falcons (Akron, OH), observed Jackson's basketball team overwhelm Firestone by a score of 87-40.
The Polar Bears (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against GlenOak (Canton, OH). The Golden Eagles come into the Federal challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, GlenOak trounced Collinwood (Cleveland, OH), 64-26, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Falcons encounter the North Vikings (Akron, OH) in a Akron City challenge, on Friday, January 10. Firestone will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record.
