Georgia High School Basketball - Porter-Gaud nips Franklin County
December 28, 2024: Carnesville, GA 30521 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Porter-Gaud Cyclones basketball team scored a close 61-55 win over the Franklin County Lions.
The Cyclones (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Peninsula Catholic was tipped by Summerville (Summerville, SC), 56-49, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Concord Academy Eagles (Concord, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 30. Franklin County will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 17-2 record after their 81-66 non-league win over Keenan (Columbia, SC).
