Mississippi High School Basketball - Starkville fells Gulfport
December 28, 2024: Gulfport, MS 39507 The Starkville Yellowjackets basketball team scored 65 points and limited the host Gulfport Admirals to 48 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets now have a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Germantown for a 7A Region 2 game on Friday, January 3. Starkville will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 64-46 non-league win over Hall (Little Rock, AR). The Mavericks record now stands at 13-2.
With the loss, Gulfport falls to 13-1 on the campaign. The Admirals host Hancock (Kiln, MS) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Thursday, January 2. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 7-9. Hancock won 45-35 in their recent non-league game against Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS)
