Ohio High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon trounced by Hayes

Hayes Pacers (Delaware, OH) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH), 64-37 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Hayes advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Pacers host Brunswick (Brunswick, OH) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league match on Sunday, December 29. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 5-1. Brunswick won 73-54 in their recent non-league match against North Ridgeville (North Ridgeville, OH)

The Yellowjackets now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Newark for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Mt. Vernon will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 53-44 non-league win over Washington (Massillon, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-1.
