December 28, 2024: Riverton, IL 62561 Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Heyworth Hornets (Heyworth, IL), 67-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Riverton upgrades its record to 12-1 on the year. The Hawks travel to Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Monday, December 30. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 6-3. Maroa-Forsyth won 51-49 in their recent non-league match against Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL)
The Hornets now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond for a non-league match on Monday, December 30. Heyworth will face a Knights squad coming off a 55-38 non-league win over Judah Christian (Champaign, IL). The Knights record now stands at 3-9.
