The Roosevelt Roughriders basketball squad scored 74 points and held the visiting Hillside Hornets to 70 in the Roughriders non-league victory on Saturday.

With the victory, Roosevelt upgrades its record to 10-4 on the year. The Roughriders host Coolidge (Washington, DC) to face the Colts in a DCSAA AA match on Friday, January 3. The Colts enter the match with a record of 8-3. Coolidge won 73-63 in their recent non-league match against Flint Hill (Oakton, VA)

The Hornets now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverside-Durham for a 4A DC 6 match on Friday, January 10.
