Texas High School Basketball - Itasca toppled by Reagan County
December 28, 2024: Big Lake, TX 76932 Reagan County Owls (Big Lake, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Itasca Wampus Cats (Itasca, TX), 47-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Reagan County upgrades its record to 14-4 on the year. The Owls host Christoval (Christoval, TX) to face the Cougars in a 2A Region I District 7 match on Friday, January 3. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 13-9. Christoval lost 58-52 in their recent non-league match against Andrews (Andrews, TX)
The Wampus Cats now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Mills for a 2A Region II District 12 match on Tuesday, December 31. Itasca will face a Eagles squad coming off a 40-26 non-league loss to Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-11.
