Mississippi High School Basketball - J.Z. George holds off Riverside
December 28, 2024: Avon, MS 38723 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting J.Z. George Jaguars basketball team scored a close 41-40 triumph over the Riverside Bulldogs.
The Jaguars (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region 4 contest with a 6-3 record.
In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Leflore County Tigers (Itta Bena, MS) in a 2A Region 3 contest, on Friday, January 3. Riverside will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 11-4 record after their 69-56 non-league win over Simmons (Hollandale, MS).
