Georgia High School Basketball - Locust Grove overwhelms Lamar County

The Locust Grove Wildcats basketball team scored 79 points and limited the host Lamar County Trojans to 49 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wildcats now have a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Woodland for a AAAA Region 2 game on Tuesday, January 7. Locust Grove will confront a Wolfpack team coming off a 52-51 non-league win over Northside (Warner Robins, GA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Lamar County falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Trojans host Brookstone (Columbus, GA) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Saturday, January 4. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 6-7. Brookstone won 53-51 in their recent non-league game against Loganville Christian Academy (Loganville, GA)
