In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Meridian Bobcats basketball team scored a good 61-45 triumph over the Richland County Tigers.

The Bobcats (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL). The Red Devils go into the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Murphysboro was toppled by Benton (Benton, IL), 41-33, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Jersey Panthers (Jerseyville, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Richland County will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 49-48 non-league win over Salem (Salem, IL).
