The Polk County Wolverines basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Pickens Blue Flame to 35 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Wolverines now have a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to Erwin for a non-league game on Monday, December 30. Polk County will confront a Warriors team coming off a 74-58 non-league win over West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Pickens falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Blue flame travel to West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC) to confront the Falcons in a non-league game on Monday, December 30. The Falcons go into the game with a record of 2-9. West Henderson lost 74-58 in their recent non-league game against Erwin (Asheville, NC)
