Ohio High School Basketball - Wellston bested by Southeastern
December 28, 2024: Chillicothe, OH 45601 Southeastern Panthers (Chillicothe, OH) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Wellston Golden Rockets (Wellston, OH), 60-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Southeastern advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to Paint Valley (Bainbridge, OH) to meet the Bearcats in a Scioto Valley match on Friday, January 3. The Bearcats enter the match with a record of 4-4. Paint Valley won 52-44 in their recent non-league match against Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, OH)
The Golden Rockets now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Federal Hocking for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Wellston will meet a Lancers squad coming off a 63-57 non-league loss to Crooksville (Crooksville, OH). The Lancers record now stands at 1-7.
