In Saturday's non-league test, the Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) basketball squad knocked off the host Texas Lions HomeSchool Lions (Austin, TX), by a score of 57-48.

Next, the Vipers clash with the Manor Mustangs (Manor, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 test, on Tuesday, December 31. Vandegrift will attempt to improve on its 16-6 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 1-15 record after their 60-46 non-league loss to Hendrickson (Pflugerville, TX).
