The Americas Trail Blazers (El Paso, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX), 64-41 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Trail Blazers now possess a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Horizon for a 5A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 3. Americas will play a Scorpions team coming off a 44-17 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Scorpions record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Abernathy falls to 15-8 on the campaign. The Antelopes host Ralls (Ralls, TX) to play the Jackrabbits in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, December 31. The Jackrabbits go into the bout with a record of 7-10.
