With the victory, Merryville advances its record to 13-3 on the year. The Panthers host Kaplan (Kaplan, LA) to meet the Pirates in a non-league battle on Thursday, January 2. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 4-9. Kaplan lost 47-29 in their recent non-league battle against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA)
