Blount Leopards (Eight Mile, AL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Salmen Spartans (Slidell, LA), 58-33 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Blount advances its record to 11-5 on the year. The Leopards travel to Saraland (Saraland, AL) to meet the Spartans in a 6A Area 1 match on Friday, January 3. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 12-5. Saraland lost 49-46 in their recent non-league match against Jackson (Jackson, AL)

The Spartans now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Carmel for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 7.
