With the victory, China Spring upgrades its record to 13-9 on the year. The Cougars travel to Maypearl (Maypearl, TX) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 28. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 15-6. Maypearl won 56-31 in their recent non-league match against Clifton (Clifton, TX)
The Greyhounds now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lindsay for a 2A Region II District 13 match on Friday, January 3. Slidell will face a Knights squad coming off a 60-20 non-league loss to Gunter (Gunter, TX). The Knights record now stands at 15-4.
