Maryland High School Basketball - Clarksburg can't get by Linganore
December 28, 2024: Frederick, MD 21701 Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Clarksburg Coyotes (Clarksburg, MD), 54-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Linganore advances its record to 4-1 on the year. The Lancers travel to South Hagerstown (Hagerstown, MD) to meet the Rebels in a Central Maryland match on Friday, January 3. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 1-6. South Hagerstown lost 64-28 in their recent non-league match against Allegany (Cumberland, MD)
The Coyotes now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Northwest for a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. Clarksburg will play a Jaguars team coming off a 69-34 league loss to Seneca Valley (Germantown, MD). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-3.
