In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting East Poinsett County Warriors basketball team scored a good 57-48 triumph over the Yazoo City Indians.

The Warriors (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR). The Greyhounds go into the 2A Region 3 contest with a 6-13 record. In their last contest, Marmaduke was topped by Riverside (Lake City, AR), 62-31, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Gentry Rams (Indianola, MS) in a 5A Region 2 contest, on Friday, January 3. Yazoo City will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record.
