Alabama High School Basketball - Sprayberry trounced by Hoover
December 28, 2024: Hoover, AL 35244 Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Sprayberry Yellow Jackets (Marietta, GA), 69-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hoover advances its record to 17-2 on the year. The Buccaneers host Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL) to meet the Huskies in a 7A Area 6 match on Friday, January 3. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 12-6. Hewitt-Trussville lost 34-30 in their recent non-league match against Biloxi (Biloxi, MS)
The Yellow Jackets now own a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Classen SAS for a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. Sprayberry will meet a Comets squad coming off a 63-50 league win over Altus (Altus, OK). The Comets record now stands at 7-2.
