December 28, 2024: Midlothian, VA 23113 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA) and the visiting Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA), observed James River Midlothian's basketball team overwhelm Phoebus by a score of 49-22.
The Rapids (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cosby (Midlothian, VA). The Titans come into the Dominion challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Cosby was routed by Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA), 56-38, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Phantoms battle the Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Saturday, January 4. Phoebus will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Crabbers come into the challenge with a 7-1 record after their 85-16 league win over Heritage (Newport News, VA).
