With the victory, J.H. Rose advances its record to 1-7 on the year. The Rampants travel to Northside - Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC) to meet the Monarchs in a 3A/4A Big Carolina battle on Friday, January 3. The Monarchs enter the battle with a record of 4-3. Northside - Jacksonville lost 48-39 in their recent league battle against D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC)

The Yellowjackets now own a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northern Nash for a 2A/3A Big East battle on Friday, January 3. Roanoke Rapids will meet a Knights squad coming off a 43-39 non-league loss to Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-4.
