Georgia High School Basketball - LaGrange triumphant over Riverdale
December 28, 2024: LaGrange, GA 30240 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the LaGrange Grangers (LaGrange, GA) and the visiting Riverdale Raiders (Riverdale, GA), observed LaGrange's basketball team overwhelm Riverdale by a score of 57-15.
The Grangers (3-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA). The Knights come into the AAA Region 2 challenge with a 2-7 record. In their last challenge, Upson-Lee was routed by Taylor County (Butler, GA), 48-43, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Raiders encounter the Douglass Astros (Atlanta, GA) in a AAA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Riverdale will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record. The Astros come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 39-37 non-league loss to Coretta Scott King YWLA (Atlanta, GA).
