Texas High School Basketball - Leon knocks off Thorndale
December 28, 2024: Thorndale, TX 76577 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Leon Cougars basketball team scored a good 56-37 win over the Thorndale Bulldogs.
The Cougars (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region III District 20 contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Normangee was topped by Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX), 45-34, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the McDade Bulldogs (McDade, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 27 contest, on Tuesday, December 31. Thorndale will attempt to better on its 11-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 39-35 league win over Rosebud-Lott (Rosebud, TX).
