December 28, 2024: Stillwater, MN 55082 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Croix Prep Lions (Stillwater, MN) and the visiting Pierz Pioneers (Pierz, MN), observed St. Croix Prep's basketball team knock off Pierz by a score of 49-37.
The Lions (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Family Catholic (Victoria, MN). The Fire come into the non-league challenge with a 5-8 record. In their last challenge, Holy Family Catholic was knocked off by Visitation (Mendota Heights, MN), 60-45, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pioneers encounter the Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) in a AA Section 7 challenge, on Thursday, January 2. Pierz will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 70-33 non-league loss to Perham (Perham, MN).
