West Virginia High School Basketball - Pocahontas County routs Sherman

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Pocahontas County Warriors basketball team scored a big 58-32 triumph over the Sherman Tide.

The Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Patriots go into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Midland Trail was trounced by Summers County (Hinton, WV), 50-21, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Tide battle the St. Joseph Central Irish (Huntington, WV) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 2. Sherman will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Irish go into the contest with a 1-7 record after their 51-40 non-league loss to Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH).
