Virginia High School Basketball - Nansemond River succumbs to L.C. Bird
December 28, 2024: Suffolk, VA 23434 In Saturday's non-league test, the L.C. Bird Skyhawks (Chesterfield, VA) basketball squad defeated the host Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA), by a score of 63-55.
Next, the Skyhawks clash with the Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA) in a non-league test, on Friday, January 3. L.C. Bird will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Blue Devils come into the test with a 7-1 record after their 66-31 non-league win over Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA).
The Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA). The Crusaders come into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Catholic overcame Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA), 69-35, in a non-league test.
