Illinois High School Basketball - Armstrong ripped by Lexington

The Lexington Minutemen basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Armstrong Trojans to 41 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Minutemen now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tri-Point for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 4. Lexington will meet a Chargers team coming off a 64-50 non-league loss to Westville (Westville, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 5-9.

The Trojans (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Salt Fork (Sidell, IL). The Storm enter the Vermilion Valley contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Salt Fork was routed by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin (Bismarck, IL), 49-43, in a non-league contest.
