The Mountain View Spartans basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Berkeley Yellowjackets to 43 in the Spartans non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milpitas for a Santa Clara Valley - De Anza contest on Tuesday, January 4. Mountain View will battle a Trojans team coming off a 58-56 non-league loss to Wilcox (Santa Clara, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-3.

The Yellowjackets (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Piedmont (Piedmont, CA). The Highlanders come into the West Alameda County - Foothill contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Piedmont was nudged by Oakland (Oakland, CA), 66-51, in a non-league contest.
