In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Commerce Tigers basketball team scored a tight 64-61 triumph over the North Lamar Panthers.

In their next game, the Tigers meet the Hope Bobcats (Hope, AR) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 30. Commerce will attempt to move on its 10-13 season record. The Bobcats enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 67-64 non-league loss to Greenville (Greenville, TX).
