Illinois High School Basketball - Dunbar tops Phillips
December 29, 2021: Chicago, IL 60653 Dunbar Mightymen (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Phillips Wildcats (Chicago, IL), 70-60 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Dunbar upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Mightymen travel to Urban Prep-West Campus (Chicago, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 4. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 2-7. Urban Prep-West Campus lost 71-32 in their recent non-league bout against Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Hyde Park Thunderbirds (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public - Red South bout, on Thursday, January 6. Phillips will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 57-46 non-league win over Thornton (Harvey, IL).
