Ohio High School Basketball - Margaretta thwarts Genoa Area
December 29, 2021: Castalia, OH 44824 The Margaretta Polar Bears (Castalia, OH) basketball knocked off the visiting Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH), 57-41 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Polar Bears (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Western Reserve (Collins, OH). The Roughriders go into the non-league test with a 7-0 record. In their last test, Western Reserve notched a victory over Huron (Huron, OH), 48-47, in a non-league test.
The Comets now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lake for a Northern Buckeye test on Tuesday, January 4. Genoa Area will clash with a Flyers squad coming off a 59-28 non-league loss to Delta (Delta, OH). The Flyers record now stands at 5-4.
