The Groton Indians basketball team (Groton, NY), was overwhelmed 58-35 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Solvay Bearcats (Solvay, NY)

The Bearcats now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marcellus for a Section 3 Onondaga - Liberty American battle on Thursday, February 10.

The Indians (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Marathon (Marathon, NY). The Olympians come into the Section 4 Interscholastic - North Small battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Marathon was overwhelmed by Candor (Candor, NY), 52-34, in a league battle.
