In their next game, the Royals meet the Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX) in a 5A Region I District 6 match, on Friday, January 7. Richland will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record.
With the defeat, Lubbock moves to 10-8 on the year. The Westerners travel to Rider (Wichita Falls, TX) to meet the Raiders in a non-league match on Thursday, December 30. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 4-13. Rider lost 78-48 in their recent non-league match against Permian (Odessa, TX)
