In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) basketball squad edged the host Plano East Panthers (Plano, TX), by a count of 38-36.

The Sandies (17-4) will now prepare for their outing against South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 16-3 record. In their last outing, South Grand Prairie held off Mansfield Timberview (Arlington, TX), 53-42, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Flower Mound for a 6A Region I District 6 outing on Tuesday, January 4.
