The Cypress Lakes Spartans basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Fort Bend Travis Tigers to 31 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stratford for a non-league contest on Friday, December 31. Cypress Lakes will battle a Spartans team coming off a 43-37 league loss to Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 7-10.

The Tigers (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against George Ranch (Richmond, TX). The Longhorns enter the 6A Region III District 20 contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, George Ranch was defeated by Shadow Creek (Pearland, TX), 74-36, in a non-league contest.
