Georgia High School Basketball - Kell overwhelms Newton
December 29, 2021: Covington, GA 30014 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Kell Longhorns (Marietta, GA) and the host Newton Rams (Covington, GA), saw Kell's basketball squad wallop Newton by a tally of 73-41.
With the victory, Kell improves its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Langston Hughes (Fairburn, GA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 30. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Langston Hughes won 71-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Roswell (Roswell, GA)
Next up, the Rams play the South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Newton will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 76-50 non-league loss to South Forsyth (Cumming, GA).
