December 29, 2021: Van Buren, OH 45889 The Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) basketball nipped the visiting Lakota Raiders (Kansas, OH), 62-58 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Black Knights (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Carey (Carey, OH). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Carey was tipped by Upper Sandusky (Upper Sandusky, OH), 41-36, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to New Riegel for a Sandusky Bay - River test on Tuesday, January 4. Lakota will encounter a Blue Jackets squad coming off a 60-41 non-league win over Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH). The Blue Jackets record now stands at 8-0.
