Illinois High School Basketball - Olympia can't hold off Lutheran
December 29, 2021: Stanford, IL 61774 The Lutheran Crusaders basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Olympia Spartans to 56 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Crusaders now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloomington Central Catholic for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 29. Lutheran will battle a Saints team coming off a 61-35 non-league win over El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Saints record now stands at 7-5.
The Spartans (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones enter the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart-Griffin nudged Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL), 60-16, in a non-league contest.
