Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) and the host Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT), saw Newington's basketball squad knock off Ridgefield by a count of 51-40.

With the victory, Newington improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Nor'easters host Bloomfield (Bloomfield, CT) to confront the Warhawks in a non-league battle on Monday, January 3. The Warhawks come into the battle with a record of 1-3. Bloomfield won 53-26 in their recent non-league battle against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering (Windsor, CT)

The Tigers (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Stamford (Stamford, CT). The Black Knights come into the Fairfield County battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Stamford beat Kolbe-Cathedral (Bridgeport, CT), 57-34, in a non-league battle.
