Georgia High School Basketball - Thompson tops Allatoona
December 29, 2022: Acworth, GA 30101 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL) and the host Allatoona Buccaneers (Acworth, GA), saw Thompson's basketball squad knock off Allatoona by a count of 51-43.
With the victory, Thompson upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Northgate (Newnan, GA) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 3-8. Northgate lost 75-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Campbell (Smyrna, GA)
Next up, the Buccaneers play the Sequoyah Chiefs (Canton, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 6 challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Allatoona will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 64-40 non-league loss to Archer (Lawrenceville, GA).
