December 29, 2022: Aurora, OR 97002 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Marion Huskies (Aurora, OR) and the visiting Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR), saw North Marion's basketball squad hold off Astoria by a tally of 59-53.
With the victory, North Marion improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Scappoose (Scappoose, OR) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Scappoose won 50-30 in their recent non-league challenge against Sweet Home (Sweet Home, OR)
Next up, the Fishermen play the St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR) in a 4A Cowapa challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Astoria will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record.
