New York High School Basketball - Chaminade overwhelms Auburn
December 29, 2022: Mineola, NY 11501 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Chaminade Flyers (Mineola, NY) and the visiting Auburn Maroons (Auburn, NY), saw Chaminade's basketball squad wallop Auburn by a count of 86-55.
With the victory, Chaminade upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Flyers host Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY) to play the Firebirds in a Catholic Nassau Suffolk challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Firebirds come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Kellenberg Memorial lost 49-44 in their recent non-league challenge against St. John's Prep (Astoria, NY)
Next up, the Maroons play the Fayetteville-Manlius Hornets (Manlius, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Auburn will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 51-43 non-league loss to Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY).
