New Mexico High School Basketball - Aztec tops Wingate
December 29, 2022: Aztec, NM 87410 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM) and the visiting Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM), saw Aztec's basketball squad knock off Wingate by a count of 61-51.
With the victory, Aztec upgrades its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Tigers host St. Michael (St. Michaels, AZ) to play the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 30. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. St. Michael lost 58-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Newcomb (Newcomb, NM)
Next up, the Bears play the Cuba Rams (Cuba, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Wingate will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 34-25 non-league win over East Mountain (Sandia Park, NM).
