December 29, 2022: Grand Prairie, TX 75050 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Bishop Lynch Friars (Dallas, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX), by a margin of 61-54.
The Friars (16-8) will now prepare for their outing against Nolan Catholic (Fort Worth, TX). The Vikings go into the TAPPS 6A District 1 outing with a 8-14 record. In their last outing, Nolan Catholic got by First Baptist Christian (Pasadena, TX), 52-51, in a non-league outing.
The Gophers now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Bowie for a 6A Region I District 8 outing on Tuesday, January 3. Grand Prairie will encounter a Volunteers squad coming off a 60-58 non-league loss to Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Volunteers record now stands at 5-12.
