December 29, 2022: McKees Rocks, PA 15136 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA) and the host Sto-Rox Vikings (McKees Rocks, PA), saw Blackhawk's basketball squad overcome Sto-Rox by a tally of 52-42.
With the victory, Blackhawk improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to confront the Bobcats in a WPIAL 4A 2 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 8-1. Beaver won 59-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Sto-Rox will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 67-31 non-league loss to Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA).
