The Cherokee Christian Warriors basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Strong Rock Christian Patriots to 72 in the Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Warriors now sport a 7-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Johnson Ferry Christian Academy for a GAPPS - I-AAA Region 1 contest on Saturday, January 7. Cherokee Christian will meet a Saints squad coming off a 63-56 non-league loss to Fideles Christian (Cumming, GA). The Saints record now stands at 6-4.
Next up, the Patriots play the Brookstone Cougars (Columbus, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Strong Rock Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 82-44 non-league win over Stewart County (Lumpkin, GA).
